Love of the Game Camp owners L-R: Brad Nelson, Dave Nelson & Craig Nelson

The Nelson Family has a rich basketball history in the Red River Valley of North Dakota. Dave Nelson and his sons, Craig and Brad, have spent years on the hard court together, but it wasn't always just two generations. Craig and Brad spent countless hours with their Grandpa, Coach Ed Beyer, at his Red River Valley Basketball Camps as well. Their dad, Dave, worked at every camp along side his father-in-law. When Brad moved back to North Dakota, the trio decided to build the basketball camp tradition once again in Hillsboro.

As campers, we went on to develop our love for the game. We looked forward to developing strong fundamentals, competing in different competitions against players from the area, as well as putting our skills to the test in the team game aspect of the camp.

We still remember many of the players we competed against year after year. We loved the anticipation of going back to see how much we had improved from the previous year.

There is nothing more satisfying for us than to be able to give back to the game we love and to help young athletes who aspire to be great. It's for these reasons we, Brad and Craig, along with our Dad, met to develop an annual camp. We hope you join us for one of our camps, and more importantly, we hope you can make the same memories year after year as we did. It's all for the love of the game.
